Welcome to What’s It Mean? — an AI-powered dream and omen interpreter. We care about your privacy, so this page explains (in clear, everyday language) what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
You can use What’s It Mean? with or without creating an account.
- Account basics: If you choose to register, we collect your email address. That’s it — no name, no age, no other personal details.
- Dreams & omens you type:
- If you’re not registered: your entries are sent to our AI provider for interpretation and then discarded.
- If you have a Reflect+ account: your entries are stored securely in our database (hosted by a cloud service provider) so you can review them later.
- App activity: We use analytics tools to understand how people use the app (for example, which features are most popular). This data is collected in an aggregated way and isn’t tied to your identity.
- Ads: The free version of What’s It Mean? uses AdMob to show ads. Ad networks may collect device identifiers to serve more relevant ads.
- Payments: Payments for Reflect+ are handled entirely by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. We don’t see or store your billing information.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide dream and omen interpretations.
- Power Reflect+ so you can save entries and spot patterns over time.
- Keep the app running smoothly, find bugs, and improve the experience.
- Show ads in the free version of the app.
3. Sharing Information
We don’t sell your data. We only share information with service providers who help us run the app. This includes:
- AI processing providers (to generate interpretations).
- Cloud hosting providers (to store Reflect+ entries).
- Subscription/payment platforms (App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat).
- Analytics and ad providers (Google Analytics, AdMob).
They can only use your data to provide services on our behalf.
4. Your Choices
- Delete entries: If you’re a Reflect+ user, you can delete individual dream/omen entries in the app.
- Delete your account: You can delete your account (and all saved data) at any time from within the app or by contacting us at hello@whatsitmeanapp.com.
- No exports: At this time, we don’t offer a way to export a copy of your data.
- Analytics/ads: Analytics and ads are built-in. There’s no separate opt-out in the app.
5. Children’s Privacy
What’s It Mean? is intended for users aged 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no app or internet service can guarantee perfect security. Please keep this in mind when using the app.
7. International Users
Our app is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
8. Legal
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA.
